Hey, I was at Sauk Rapids checking it out today, Ran into Tim Mackey, (designer), he was marking the placements of the short pads. He said it is playable aka the baskets are up, but it still needs the short tee pads, wood chips spread out, some brush cutting, and Tee markings. I didn't play it, I just walked it, looks very challenging! Due to rain, the course was wet everywhere... Give it sometime and it should be an area favorite. And yes, I do believe there was some poison ivy.

The fairways have been widened and there is also an alternate fairway on 17.

I am truly amazed with this course. Very challenging! Hole 5 is a beast of a par 5. Hole 17 is a 600 ft par 4 with split fairways to the right or left of a grove of bushes in the middle. It gets very mushy after a good soaking since a majority of the holes are in open fields which are somewhat marshy. I heard that early this spring short tees will be laid but not sure when this will be exactly. This course reminds me a lot of St. Augusta with the lengths of the holes from the long tee pads. It is right by the Sauk Rapids High School back by the ball fields and the water tower.
